ignition Switch LowOilTheignitionswitchislocatedon the RH RUNconsoleto the rightof the operator'sseat. ITheignitionswitchhasthreepositions.STOP_-- Theengineandelectricalsystemisturnedoff.RUN_-- Theridingmowerelectricalsystemisenergized.START_-- Thestartermotorwill turn overthe engine.Releasethe keyimmediatelywhen theenginestartsNOTE:Topreventaccidentalstartingand/orbatterydischarge,removethekeyfrom the ignitionswitchwhenthe ridingmowerisnot in use.TransmissionBypassRodsThetransmissionbypassrods(oneforeachthe RHandLHtransmission)arelocatedbeneaththe frameplatform,just insideeachrearwheel.Whenengaged,the two rodsopena bypasswithin the hydrostatictransmissions,whichallowsthe ridingmowerto bepushedshortdistancesbyhand.Referto theAssemblysectionfor instructionsonusingthe bypassfeature.Theletters"LO"followedbythe letters"OIL",thenfollowedbythe meter'saccumulatedtimewill indicatethe tractorislow onoil.Stopthe tractorimmediatelyandcheckthe engineoil levelasinstructedinthis Owner'sManual.Low Battery 11_;I 8RrrlAtstartup,the batteryvoltageisbrieflydisplayedthenchangestoaccumulatedhours.Theletters"LO"will displayfollowedbytheletters"BATT"andthenfollowedybythemeter'saccumlulatedtime."LO/BATT/TIME"isdisplayedonthe LCDwhenthevoltagedropsbelow11.5volts.Whenthisoccurs,thebatteryisinneedofachargeor theengine'schargingsystemisnotgeneratingsufficientamperage.ChargethebatteryasinstructedintheServicesectionofthismanualor havethechargingsystemcheckedbyyourlocalservicedealer.AirRIterServke I[_ [L ]Theletters"CLN"will display,followedbythe letters _ n"AIR",followedby"FILT",thenfollowedbythe meter'saccumulatedtime."CLN/AIR/FILT/TIME"will alternateon thedisplayfor7 minutesafter the meterreachges25 hours.Thisair filter servicemindertime intervalwill beevery25hours.Onintervallsthatarecommonwith oil service,the oil messagewillbediplayedfirst followedbythe airfilter message.Nevertow your riding mower.Towingthe riding mowerwith the rearwheels onthe ground maycauseseveredamageto the transmissions.FuelTankCapThefueltank capis locatednearthe middleof the LHconsole.Turnthe fill captoremove.Thefuelcapistetheredtothe tractorto preventits loss.Donotattempttoremovethecapfromthe tractor.Filltankto the bottomofthe fillerneck,allowingsomespaceinthetankforfuel expansion.Donot overfillthe tank.Pushthe capdownwardon the fuel tankfill neckandturn clockwiseuntil it clickstotighten.Alwaysre-installthefuel captightly ontothe fuel tankafter removingNeverfill the fuel tank when the engine isrunning. If the engine ishotfrom recently running, allow to coolfor severalminutes beforerefueling.Highlyflammable gasolinesplashingontoa hotenginecould causeafire.LCDServiceMinder & Hour MeterWhenthe ignitionkeyisrotatedout of the STOPpositionbut not into the STARTposition,the LCDServiceMinderandHourMeterwill brieflydisplythe batteryvoltage,followedbythe tractor'saccumulatedhours.NOTE:Hoursof tractoroperationarerecordedanytime the ignitionkeyisrotatedout of the STOPposition,regardlessof whetherthe engineisstarted.TheLCDServiceMinderwill remindthe operatorof maintenanceintervalsforchangingthe engineoil,air filter service,low engineandlowbatterywarnings.ChangeOilTheLCDwill displaythe letters"CHG",followedbythe letters"OIL",followedbytheletters"SOON",thenfinallyfollowedbythe meter'saccumulatedtime. "CHG/OIL/SOON/TIME"will alternateonthe displayfor 7minutesafterthe meterreaches50hours.Thisoil serviceminderintervallwill occurevery50hours.Beforethe intervalexpires,changethe engineoil asinstructedin the Maintenancesectionof thisOperator'sManual.Throttle/ChokeControlThethrottle/chokecontrolis locatedonthe LHconsoleto the left of theoperator'sseat.Whensetin agivenposition,a uniformenginespeedwillbemaintained.Pushthe throttle/chokecontrolhandleforwardto increasethe enginespeed.Theridingmowerisdesignedtooperatewith the throttle/chokecontrolinthe FAST_ positionwhenthe ridingmowerisbeingdrivenandthe mowerdeckisengaged.Pullthe throtNe/chokecontrolhandlerearwardto decreasethe enginespeed.Whenstartingthe engine,pushthecontrolhandlefullyforwardinto theCHOKENposition.mm$LSWAfterstartingandwarmingtheengine,movethe controlhandlerearwarduntil youfeel it movepastthe chokedetent.GeneralSafetyRECEIVEINSTRUCTION-- Entirelyreadthisoperator'smanual.LearntooperatethismachineSAFELY.Donot riskINJURYor DEATH.Allow onlythosewho havebecomecompetentin its usagetooperatethisridingmower.Beforestartingthe engineor beginningoperation,befamiliarwith thecontrols.Theoperatorshouldbe inthe operator'sseat.ThePTOswitchmustbe inthe disengagedposition,the parkingbrakeengaged,andthe RHandLHdrivecontrolleversmovedfullyoutwardinthe neutralposition.Keepall shieldsin place.Keepawayfrom movingparts.NORIDERS!Keepall peopleandpetsasafedistanceaway.Lookbehindanddownto bothsidesof the ridingmowerbeforeandwhilebackingup.DONOTdirectthe mowerdischargeat people.Avoidslopeswherepossible.Neveroperateonslopesgreaterthan15°.Slopeswith agreaterinclinepresentdangerousoperatingconditions.Ridingmowerscanbe rolledover.13 |
