11How to Turn ON the Main PowerThis section explains how to turn ON the main power.▀ Turning ON the Main PowerMake sure that the power plug is firmly inserted into the power outlet, and the breaker is turned ON.1 Open the main power switch cover.2 Press the main power switch to the "|" side.• The main power indicator on the control panel lights.IMPORTANTIf you want to turn ON the main power again, wait for at least 10 seconds after the main power and the main powerindicator are turned OFF. However, when [Quick Startup Settings for Main Power] is enabled, if you don’t wait morethan 20 seconds after the Main Power indicator is turned OFF, quick startup is not performed.NOTEThe response of the keys and buttons may not be optimal immediately after turning ON the main power of themachine.▀ Shutting Down the MachineDo not turn OFF the main power in the following situations• When using the I-Fax function• When the message is displayed• When operating scan or print function1 Open the main power switch cover.2 Press the main power switch to the " " side.• The main power indicator on the control panel turnsOFF.
