Adjust the angle of theviewfinder to prevent sunlight from entering.Preparing the Camcorder• Set the camcorder to TAPE CAMERAmode. Extend the viewfinder straightout, then adjust the viewfinder focusinglever to suit your eyesight.• Rotate the viewfinder to an angle thatallows you to view comfortably. Storethe camcorder with the viewfinder flushwith the body of the camcorder.• To view with the viewfinder, make surethe LCD panel is either turned so thatthe subject can monitor viewing, ortotally closed with the screen facinginwards.Adjust the viewfinderPrepare the lens cap• Attach the cord to the lens cap, andpass the grip belt through the loop onthe cord.• Hook the lens cap on to the grip beltwhile you are recording, and place itover the lens when you have finished.Fasten the grip belt• Release the Velcro fastening and holdthe camcorder with your right handwhile you adjust the belt with your left.Your index finger should reach thezoom control and photo button, andyour thumb should reach the start/stopbutton comfortably.
