62The shutter will release approximately two seconds after the camera detectsa new face (p. 73). You can use this when the photographer wants to be inthe image, such as a group photo.Choose . Follow Step 1 on p. 58 to choose .Compose the shot and press theshutter button halfway. Make sure a green frame appears on theface focused on and white frames appearon other faces.Press the shutter button fully. The camera will enter shooting stand-by,and [Look straight at camera to start countdown] will appear on the screen. The lamp will blink and the self-timersound will play.Join the subjects and look at thecamera. When the camera detects a new face, thelamp and self-timer sound will speed up(the lamp remains lit when the flash willfire), and two seconds later the shutter willrelease. To cancel shooting with the timer aftercountdown has started, press the pbutton.Using the Face Self-TimerChanging the number of shotsIn Step 1, press and hold the n button for a moment, hen press the qrbuttons to change the number of shots. Press the n button to complete thesetting.Even if your face is not detected after joining the subjects, the shutter willrelease approximately 15 seconds later.
