110You can customize convenient and commonly used functions from the 3 tab(p. 41).Low Level Memory Card FormattingPerform low level formatting when [Memory card error] appears, the cameradoes not operate properly, you think that the recording/reading speed of amemory card has dropped, or recording suddenly stops while shooting amovie. As you cannot retrieve the erased data, exercise adequate cautionbefore formatting the memory card.Choose [Low Level Format]. Choose [Format], then press the mbutton. Press the op buttons to choose [LowLevel Format], then press the qr buttonsto display . Press the opqr buttons to choose [OK],then press the m button.Start the low level format. Press the op buttons to choose [OK],then press the m button. Low level formatting starts. When low level formatting ends, [Memorycard formatting complete] will appear onthe screen.Complete the low level format. Press the m button.Changing Camera Settings• Low level formatting may take longer than standard formatting (p. 18),since all recorded data is erased.• You can stop a low level format of a memory card by choosing [Stop].When stopping low level formatting, the data will be erased but thememory card can be used without problem.
