Check the location of the staple jam, and follow the procedure described below, andthe procedure that appears on the touch panel display, to remove any jammed staples.Take care when handling the optional equipment that is attached to the machine. When an optional unit's cover is opened to replace a staplecartridge, discard the punch waste, discard the trim waste, or clear paper or staple jams, prints may still be output if other optional units areoperating normally, and are not involved in the paper or staple jam removal procedure.Before clearing the staple jam, remove all output sheets from the booklet tray.This procedure is only required when the Booklet Finisher-A1 is attached to the machine.If a paper jam occurs at the same time as a staple jam, remove the jammed paper before removing the jammed staples.1 Open the front cover of the finisher••••
