Even when buckledup, the safety belts cannot dotheir job.The shoulder belt will not beagainst your body. Instead, it willbe in front of you. In a crash, youcould go into it, receiving neck orother injuries.The lap belt could go up overyour abdomen. The belt forceswould be there, not at your pelvicbones. This could cause seriousinternal injuries.For proper protection when thevehicle is in motion, have theseatback upright. Then sit wellback in the seat and wear thesafety belt properly.Do not have a backrest reclined ifthe vehicle is moving.Memory SeatsThe SET, 1, 2, and B (Exit) buttonson the driver door are used tomanually store and recall memorysettings for the driver seat, outsidemirrors, power tilt and telescopingsteering column (if equipped).Storing Memory PositionsTo store positions to the 1 and 2buttons:1. The ignition must be in ON/RUN/START or ACC/ACCESSORY.2. Adjust the driver seat, outsidemirrors, and the power tilt andtelescoping steering column (ifequipped) to the desiredpositions.3. Press and release SET. A beepwill sound.4. Immediately press and hold 1until two beeps sound.5. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for asecond driver using 2.Repeat Steps 1–4 using B to storeyour positions for getting out of thevehicle.
