355 . . .–––Section 3ONE TO FOUR SKIP SHIFT(IF EQUIPPED)If your vehicle is a CTS-V modelequipped with a manualtransmission, this feature helpsimprove fuel economy.When the vehicle is under lightacceleration, you can only shiftfrom first to fourth gear instead offirst to second or first to third.Under harder acceleration, thisfeature is disabled and the drivermay select any gear.SHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT (IFEQUIPPED)If your vehicle is a CTS model, thislight will show you when to shift tothe next higher gear for best fueleconomy.The light may flash when youaccelerate. This is normal.Ignore this light when youdownshift.If your vehicle is a CTS-V model,the tracer lights around theoutside of the tachometer willindicate when to shift to the nexthigher gear for better performanceand to avoid the engine speedlimit.
