480i IP Phone User Guide 31Additional FeaturesUsing the Directory ListUse the following procedures toaccess the Directory List.1. Press x on the phone todisplay the Services menu.orPress the r key to enter theDirectory List directly. (skip tostep 3)2. From the Services menu, select"Directory List".3. Use the r and s to scrollthrough the line items in theDirectory List.4. To delete all entries in theDirectory list, press theDeleteList softkey at the"Directory List" header.To delete a line item from theDirectory List, select the lineitem you want to delete andpress the Delete softkey.5. To cancel a delete function,press the r or the s Scrollkeys.6. To add a new entry to the list,press the Add New softkey atthe "Directory List" headerscreen and perform step 7.orPress the Add New softkey at aline item and perform step 7.7. Enter a phone number, name,and line number and press the3 Save softkey after each fieldentry.Note: The 480i allows up to 200directory entries.8. To edit an entry, use the Changesoftkey. A screen displaysallowing you to edit the name,phone number, and linenumber, as well as the public/private setting.9. To dial a displayed entry fromthe Directory List, pick up thehandset, press the d/fhandsfree key, or press the Dialsoftkey.10.To exit the Directory List, pressthe Quit softkey.VoicemailThe Voicemail feature on the 480iIP phone allows you to use a line,configured with a phone numberfor dialing out, to connect to avoicemail server.For each assigned Voicemailnumber, there can be a minimumof 0 or a maximum of 1 Voicemailaccess phone number.The Voicemail list displays a list ofphone numbers assigned to the480i that have registered voicemailaccounts associated with them.Note: The Voicemail list does notdisplay the voicemail accessnumber.The phone displays up to 99voicemails for an account even ifthe number of voicemails exceedsthe limit.Registered account numbers/URIsthat exceed the length of thescreen, either with or without thevoicemail icon and the messagecount, are truncated with an ellipsecharacter at the end of thenumber/URI string.The end of the Voicemail listdisplays the number of newvoicemail messages (if any exist).Contact your system administratorfor lines configured for Voicemail.IP Phone UI
