• Exceeding the recommended operating temperature values maynot affect the gateway function immediately but may result inmore rapid ageing and lower reliability. The allowed workingtemperature and relative humidity ranges are included inSection 11.• The gateway is intended for indoor use. It may not be exposedto rain, flowing water, condensed moisture, fog, or mist.• The gateway may not be exposed to aggressive gas, acidvapours, solvents, etc. or aggressive liquids, during covercleaning, for example.• The VoiceBlue Lite gateway is not designed for high-vibrationenvironments e.g. means of transport, machine rooms, etc.• Free space has to be left under and over the gateway for cablesand agitated air to remove operational heat.• Install the gateway on a place with a good GSM signal.• A misplacement of the GSM gateway or its antenna neartelevision, broadcasting or similar RF-sensitive devices mayevoke an adverse effect upon their function.• Being a source of RF energy emission, the VoiceBlue Litegateway antenna should not be located close to human bodies.The hazard is higher than with mobile telephones because thegateway is usually used by many people and thus employedmore often.2.4. PC or LAN ConnectionThe 2N - VoiceBlue Lite gateway can be connected to a PC usinga USB cable terminated with a USB B connector or a laplink serialcable with RS 232 connectors. A direct connection of2N - VoiceBlue Lite and a PC is necessary for the initial gatewayconfiguration when the gateway IP address is unknown and thegateway cannot be configured using the LAN.VoiceBlue Lite supports connection via the Universal Serial Bus(USB) of version 1.1.
