Using the PostScript DriverChapter 3: Printing v 3-29Page Layout There are two options: Multiple Page per Size (N-upPrinting) and Booklet Printing.• Multiple Pages per Side (N-Up printing)By default, the printer will print one page image on thesheet of paper. You can select two, four, six, nine orsixteen page images per side of paper. The printer willshrink the page images as needed and will arrangethem on the paper most appropriately for the papersize and orientation. You can also choose to print black borders around eachpage. The default is to not print borders.• Booklet PrintingThe driver will print the document as two images persheet, landscape orientation. However, it rearrangesthe page images so the sheet of paper can be folded tobe read as a left-to-right book. The standard booklet format has the first page as theleft-most page. The Right-to-Left control, if checked, will print the booklet with the first page as theright-most page.On a folded sheet of paper with two page images, thehorizontal distance from the fold to either page imageis called the gutter. The Gutter control allows you toset this distance to zero, fifty, one hundred, or 150dots.When you fold several pages into a booklet, thethickness of the paper forces the page image of theinner pages to shift slightly outward. The Creepcontrol allows you to choose a number of dots bywhich to shift the page images inward to compensatefor the thickness of the paper. You can choose anyvalue from zero to twenty.Downloaded from www.Manualslib.com manuals search engine
