Thissection will help you become familiar with your printer'sfeatures and capabilities.Paper Handling Your printer has several paper sources and paper outputoptions as described below and in Figure 1.5 on page 1-9.For a listing of supported media types and sizes, refer tothe section “Selecting Print Media” (page 2-2).Input Sources• The standard multi bypass feeder functions as either asingle sheet manual feed tray or a tray for up to 100sheets.• Tray 1 is the standard 550 sheet input source.• Tray 2 is the optional 550 sheet input source installedimmediately below Tray 1.• Tray 3 is the optional 550 sheet input source installedimmediately below Tray 2.• The envelope feeder is the optional input source thatholds approximately 75 standard envelopes.Trays 1, 2 and 3 all have automatic paper size sensing, lowpaper sensing and “no paper” sensing.
