By using combinations of black dots,these patterns produce a gray appearance on the printedpage. The best way to choose a Halftoning setting for yourgraphic image is to experiment. Print a graphic image ateach setting and choose the one you like best.The Windows 95/98 driver provides the followingoptions:• Photographic Images (the default setting)Use this setting for printed images that you want tohave a smooth, realistic and photographic appearance.It provides soft contrasts between various shades ofgray (and also works well for images originallydesigned with color).• Line Art ImagesChoose this setting for graphic images with intricatelines and fine detail, like clip art graphics. It providessolid lines and sharp contrasts between shaded areas.• Scanned ImagesChoose this setting if your graphic images wereoriginally scanned in through a scanner. It is speciallytuned to provide exceptional quality and clarity toprinted images originally scanned with a scanner.The Windows NT 4.0 driver provides halftone controloptions supported by the Windows NT 4.0 operatingsystem.
