34 • Chapter 3The printer ejectsblank pages.The image cartridge is notinstalled properly.Remove and reinsert the imagecartridge.The image cartridge is empty. Replace the image cartridge(refer to “Replacing the ImageCartridge” on page 41).Half of the page isblank.The page layout is too complex. Simplify the page layout andremove any unnecessarygraphics from the document ifpossible.Install more memory (refer to“Installing a SIMM” on page 46).The page orientation setting maybe incorrect.Change the page orientation inthe Printer Setup dialog box.The paper size and the softwarepaper size settings do not match.Insert the correct paper into theprinter or change the softwarepaper size settings.Scaling may be set to less than100%.Change the Scaling setting in thePrinter Setup dialog box.The interface cable specificationsmay be incorrect.Use the interface cable suppliedwith the printer or replace thecable with an IEEE-1284 ratedcable.The printer prints thewrong data, or itprints incorrectcharacters.The interface cable might not beconnected properly.Check the interface cableconnection.There may be a problem with theprinter driver software.Exit Windows and reboot thecomputer.
