Troubleshooting • 333-2 Printer ProblemsIf you have any problems with the operation of your DocuPrint P8e printer,refer to the table below and on the following pages.If the problem cannot be solved by carrying out the instructions given below,call an authorized service representative.Problem Possible Cause RemedyThe printer does notprint.The interface cable is notconnected properly.Check the interface cableconnection.The interface cable is defective. Swap the cable with one known towork. If printing is still notpossible, replace the interfacecable.The port setting is incorrect. Check the Windows printersettings to make sure that theprint job is being sent to thecorrect port (for example, LPT1).The image cartridge is notinstalled properly.Remove and reinsert the imagecartridge.A paper jam has occurred. Clear the paper jam (refer to“Clearing Paper Jams” onpage 30).The printer may be configuredincorrectly.Check the application to makesure that all print settings arecorrect.The printer driver may beincorrectly installed.Delete the Xerox DocuPrint P8eicon and reinstall the printerdriver. Try printing a test page.The paper is not fedinto the printer.Paper has not been insertedcorrectly.Remove and reinsert the papercorrectly (refer to “Loading PrintMedia” on page 17).There is too much paper in themultipurpose paper feeder.Remove some of the paper fromthe multipurpose paper feeder.
