However, it is always goodpractice to periodically clean any loose toner or foreignmatter in your printer. See the System Administrator Guideon the product CD for procedures and cautions.Cleaning the Printer For optimum performance, do not place the printer nearvents or dust-producing equipment. Particles in the airmay enter the printer and cause failures in internalmechanisms.For best results, clean the outside of the printer with adamp cloth. Power the printer off before cleaning. Do notuse detergents.For instructions on cleaning the inside of the printer, referto the System Administrator Guide on the product CD.For optimum performance, keep the printer out of directsunlight. Faded images, light areas or dark bands may result.
