Thus, during regular filterreplacement, no manual air bleedingis required.Air bleeding procedure1. Stop the vehicle.2. Apply the parking brake.3. Turn OFF the engine.4. Tilt the cab.5. Remove the cover and noiseabsorbing materials attached onthe left side rail (if equipped).6. Pump the priming pump that isattached to the pre-fuel filter (2)bracket about 100 times until thepressure is felt in the primingpump (1).Air bleeding will be completed, donot open the nipple.1. Priming pump2. Pre-fuel filter7. Start the engine. Let the enginerun at low idle condition for about3-5 minutes.8. If the engine does not start, per-form air bleeding again.9. Run the engine at idle speed.10. Check for any leakage.11. Ensure that the engine operationis smooth.12. Install the cover and noiseabsorbing materials (if equipped).NOTEDo not increase the enginespeed, air may be pressed intothe cylinder head.DANGERAfter starting the engine, checkf o r f u e l l e a k a g e s f r o m a n ycomponents of the fuel system.If found stop the engine andcontact the nearest UD Trucksauthorised dealer since fuelleakages can lead to fire.
