– 31 –12Maintenance▼ Periodic Maintenance• For environmental conservation, it is strongly recommended that the indoor and outdoor units of the airconditioner (including hot water module) in use be cleaned and maintained regularly to ensure efficient operationof the air conditioner.When the air conditioner (including hot water module) is operated for a long time, periodic maintenance (once ayear) is recommended.Furthermore, regularly check the outdoor unit for rust and scratches, and remove them or apply rustprooftreatment, if necessary.As a general rule, when an indoor unit is operated for 8 hours or more daily, clean the indoor unit and outdoorunit at least once every 3 months. Ask a professional for this cleaning / maintenance work.Such maintenance can extend the life of the product though it involves the owner’s expense.Failure to clean the indoor and outdoor units regularly will result in poor performance, freezing, water leakage,and even compressor failure.Inspection before maintenanceFollowing inspection must be carried out by a qualified installer or qualified service person.▼ Maintenance ListIt recommends that a pump and a strainer are maintained periodically.Parts Inspection methodDrain pan Access from inspection opening and remove the front panel.  Confirmation and checkWhen a trouble occurred in the hot water module, acheck code and indoor UNIT No. (including hot watermodule) appear on the display part of the remotecontroller.The check code is only displayed during the operation.If the display disappears, operate the hot water moduleaccording to the following “Confirmation of trouble log”for confirmation. Confirmation of trouble logWhen a trouble occurred on the hot water module, thetrouble log can be confirmed with the followingprocedure. (The trouble log is stored in memory up to4 trouble.)The log can be confirmed from both operating statusand stop status.1When and buttons are pushed simultaneouslyfor 4 seconds or more, the following display appears.If is displayed, the mode enters in the trouble logmode.• [01: Order of trouble log] is displayed in CODE No..• [Check code] is displayed in CHECK.• [Indoor unit address in which a trouble occurred] isdisplayed in Unit No..2Every pushing of button used to settemperature, the trouble log stored in memory isdisplayed in order.The numbers in CODE No. indicate CODE No. [01](latest) → [04] (oldest).REQUIREMENTDo not push button because all the trouble log of theindoor unit (including hot water module) will be deleted.3After confirmation, push button to return to theusual display.Check code Indoor UNIT No. (including hotwater module) in which a troubleoccurred32161-EN 62-EN
