Toshiba DST-3000 High Definition Digital ReceiverPage 4-2Displaying the INSTALLATION ScreenHighlighting the Installation button on the POWER-ON screen (explained on page 2-15) and pressing thekey on the remote control will display theINSTALLATION screen shown on the right.If this is not the first time the DST-3000 receiver isturned on after being plugged in, follow these steps: Open the MAIN MENU screen by pressingthe key on the remote control. Using the and keys, highlight the SetupMenu Button then press the key onthe remote control to display the SETUPmenu. Using the and keys, highlight the Installation Button then press the key on theremote control to display the INSTALLATION screen.Selecting the Correct Type of Satellite Dish AntennaYou need to select the correct type of dish antenna that you have connected, so that the DST-3000receiver can calculate the correct coordinates for pointing the dish antenna.Highlighting the Dish Setup button on theINSTALLATION screen and pressing thekey on the remote control will display the DISHSETUP screen. Highlighting the Dish Type buttonon the DISH SETUP screen and pressing thekey on the remote control will display the DISHTYPE pop-up menu. Press the and keys tohighlight the type of dish antenna that is connectedto the DST-3000 receiver and then press thekey.Dish Type SelectionsNote: You must select the correct dish antenna type to obtain correct pointingresults.The dish type selections are:None Highlight this selection if you are not connecting a dish antenna, but areconnecting a terrestrial antenna or cable signal.Round Dish Highlight this selection if you connected an 18" round dish antenna. Thissetting allows the DST-3000 receiver to receive a signal from the mainsatellite, located at 101°.Note: A round dish antenna will not receive High Definition satellite signalsfrom DIRECTV.The INSTALLATION screenSELECTMENUSELECT SELECTThe DISH SETUP pop-up menuSELECTSELECTSELECT
