English - 44 -EnglishDVD ModeGeneral OperationDVD Mode Configuration1. While in DVD source, press “MYBUTTON1 - ”button to access DVD Setup menu. This is onlypossible if there is no playback.2. This menu is operated using “ ” or “ ” and “ ”or “ ” buttons.Video SetupTV TypeTV Type is only available as ‘PAL’. The TV set alsosupports NTSC signal; however, the signal will beconverted to PAL when it appears on the screen.Language SetupThis menu is used for setting language preferencesin DVD mode. Language menu contents are detailedbelow:OSD LangYou can select the default OSD language of theplayer menus.AudioYou can select the default audio language if supportedby the DVD disc.Disc MenuYou can select the DVD’s disc menu language amongthese languages. Disc menu appears in the selectedlanguage, if supported by the DVD disc.SubtitleYou can select the default subtitle language ifsupported by the DVD disc.PreferencesThese are the DVD mode preferences. Menu contentsare detailed below:DefaultIf you choose Reset and press OK, the factory-presetsare loaded. Parental level and parental passworddoes not change.DownmixThis mode can be selected when the digital audiooutput of the TV is used.Surround: Surround sound output.Stereo: Two channels stereo.ParentalPlaying some DVD’s can be limited depending on theage of users. The “Parental Control” function allowsplayback limitation level to be set by the parent.Parental Level can be adjusted to one of the eightlevels. Level “8 Adult” adjustment lets you watch all ofthe DVD titles ignoring the DVD disc’s parental level.You can watch the DVD discs, which has the sameor lower parental level than the player’s level only.PasswordUsing this item you can change the current password.To change the password you will be prompted to enteryour old password. After you have entered your oldpassword, you can now enter and confirm the new4-digit password. You can use C button to delete theincorrect entry(if it’s available on your remote).Note: Factory preset of the password is “0000”. Youhave to enter XXXX digital password every time youwant to change the parental level. If you forget yourpassword please contact technical service.SPDIF OUTPUTYou can set Spdif Output as PCM or RAW. If youselect PCM from SPDIF Output in DVD menu andplay DVD with Dolby audio, you can get audio outputwith two channels via the speakers and the SPDIFOut. If you select RAW from SPDIF Output in DVDmenu and play DVD with Dolby audio, speakers willbe muted and you can get 5+1 Dolby audio via theSPDIF Out.
