Adjusting the Fill ReductionSystem (FRS) BafflesThe fill reduction system has been designed to allowyou to reduce the amount of clippings collectedby varying degrees. The advantages include lessfrequent emptying of the hopper and the return ofnutrients to the soil. The following are possible configurations:• Baffles open with standard blades—maximumcollection• Baffles closed with standard blades—partialmulching• Baffles closed with mulch blades—intermediatemulching• Mulch plug installed with mulch blades—completemulching (requires mulch kit)Adjust the FRS baffles as follows:1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengagethe PTO, and engage the parking brake.2. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and waitfor all moving parts to stop before leaving theoperating position.3. Loosen the bolts attached to the rubber guard(Figure 10).4. Fold the guard forward.g036545Figure 101. Bolts 2. Rubber guard5. Loosen the locknuts on the rear studs of theFRS baffles.g025242Figure 111. PTO guard removed forclarity2. Loosen the locknuts.6.
