TroubleshootingProblem Possible Cause Corrective Action1. A hydraulic fitting is not completelyconnected.1. Check and tighten all fittings.2. A hydraulic fitting is damaged. 2. Replace the damaged fitting.3. There is an obstruction in a hydraulichose.3. Find and remove the obstruction.4. An auxiliary valve on the machine isnot opening.4. Repair the valve.5. The boom-end bearing has failed. 5. Replace the bearing.6. The digging chain is too tight. 6. Adjust the tension on the digging chain.7. There is sand buildup in the tooth rootof the drive sprocket.7. Raise the trencher, run the chainbackward, then decrease the chaintension.The chain does not turn.8. The hydraulic motor or the chain drivehas failed.8. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer.1. The teeth are worn. 1. Replace any worn teeth.2. There is a restriction in a hydraulichose.2.
