Adjusting the Parking BrakeIf the parking brake fails to engage, an adjustment to thebrake pawl is required.1. When you achieve the proper tension, tightenthe alternator, brace and pivot bolts to secure theadjustment.Replacing the Blade DriveBeltsService Interval: Every 50 hoursThe blade drive belts, tensioned by the spring loaded idlerpulleys, are very durable. However, after many hours of use,the belts will show signs of wear. Signs of a worn belt are:squealing when belt is rotating, blades slipping when cuttinggrass, poor quality of cut, frayed edges, burn marks andcracks.
