Figure 111. Lower the loader arms 4. Tilt the attachment forward2. Raise the loader arms 5. Detent (Float) position3. Tilt the attachmentrearwardBy moving the lever to an intermediate position (such as,forward and left), you can move the loader arms and tilt theattachment at the same time.Loader-Valve LockThe loader-valve lock secures the loader arm/attachmenttilt lever so that you cannot push it forward. This helps toensure that no one accidentally lowers the loader arms duringmaintenance. Secure the loader arms with the lock anytimeyou need to stop the machine with the loader arms raised. To set the lock, lift up on it so that it clears the hole in thecontrol panel and swing it to the left in front of the loader armlever, pushing it down into the locked position (Figure 12).Figure 121. Loader arm/attachment tiltleverLoader-Control-Reference BarThe loader-control-reference bar helps stabilize your handwhile operating the loader arm/attachment tilt lever.Auxiliary-Hydraulics LeverTo operate a hydraulic attachment in the forward direction, rotate the auxiliary-hydraulics lever rearward and pull it downto the reference bar (Figure 13, number 1).To operate a hydraulic attachment in reverse direction, rotatethe hydraulics lever rearward, then move it left into the upperslot (Figure 13, number 2).If you release the lever while in the forward position, thelever automatically returns to the neutral position (Figure 13,number 3). If it is in the reverse position, it remains thereuntil you pull it out of the slot.Figure 131. Forward-flow hydraulics 3. Neutral2. Reverse-flow hydraulicsParking-Brake LeverTo set the parking brake, push the brake lever forward and tothe left and then pull it rearward (Figure 14).Note: The traction unit may roll slightly before the brakesengage in the drive sprocket.Figure 14To release the brake, push the lever forward and then right, into the notch.Fuel GaugeThis gauge measures the amount of fuel in the fuel tank.Hydraulic-Fluid Temperature LightIf the hydraulic fluid gets too hot, this light illuminates and anaudible alarm sounds. If this happens, shut off the engine andallow the traction unit to cool.15
