2-16BASIC OPERATIONSNoteNoteJob separator trayReceiving FaxesRECEIVING FAXESNoteHow to Receive FaxesWhen Using Automatic Reception Mode1 Automatic reception begins when there is a telephonecall.l The LINE STATUS indicator lights up.With the extension telephone connected, automaticreception also begins when there is a telephone call.When someone is sending you a fax manually, you canpick up the phone and converse before the fax machinereceives the fax.About the number of ringsInitially the fax machine is set to automatically receive a fax after 2 rings.You can change the number of rings from 0 to 9 with a user program.(See page Appendix-12)2 Receiving finishes.l When the fax has been received, a "beep" sounds.l The output is deposited on the job separator tray.l The illustration above shows a model with the jobseparator tray installed.l After about 100 sheets of received faxes accumulateon the job separator tray, the output tray full indicatorlights up, and the printing of received data stops.Remove the sheets from the job separator tray, pressthe CLEAR ALL key, and the pending jobs print out.l On models without a job separator tray, received faxes are depositedin the paper output tray.If your model does not have the optional job separatortray, you can have an authorised SHARP dealer installone.
