OfficeServ 7100 INSTALLATIONTECHNICAL MANUAL PART 7 MAY 20107.9DS KDB-FULL DUPLEX (KDBF)This is a daughtercard that can only be installed in the 21D or 14D button keysets. Thestandard speakerphone mode of operation for a DS keyset is “half duplex”. This means thatyou cannot transmit and receive speech at the same time. Adding a KDBF to your keyset willconvert the speakerphone into full duplex mode enhancing its operation. In addition theKDBF may have up to 3 external microphones attached to it for conference room typeapplications. These microphones require an “EXTMIC” key programmed on the keyset toactivate or deactivate them.The KDB-D/KDB-S daughterboards are not supported on the iDCS and DS keysets whenconnected to the OfficeServ 7100 system.7.1.8 Wall-Mounting KeysetsWALL-MOUNTING iDCS KEYSETSiDCS keysets come equipped with a reversible base wedge. To wall-mount a keyset, removethe wedge from the keyset and mount the wedge to the wall using one of the methods below(see Figure 7.12).Use screw holes 1 and 2 to attach the base wedge to a standard electrical outlet box.ORUse screw holes 1 and 3 to attach to a standard telephone wall-mount plate with locking pins.This method can cause the keyset to wobble as the keyset feet do not fit securely to themounting surface.123Figure 7.12 Wall-Mounting an iDCS Keyset
