See “WHAT TO DO IF YOUSMELL GAS” under the Gas Warnings.Do not use water on a grease fire. Water might cause a grease fire to explode,spreading the fire and creating a larger fire and health hazard. Turn off heatsource and smother with tight-fitting lid or use a multipurpose dry chemical orfoam-type fire extinguisher.Never leave surface units unattended at high heat settings. Boilovers causesmoking, and greasy spillovers could ignite.Do not use a flame to check for gas leaks. Use a soapy water mixture aroundthe area you are checking instead.Do not place portable appliances, or any other object other than cookware onthe cooktop.
