Doing so maycause distortion of the picture during playback.• When you’re finished recording, rewind the tape to the beginning and remove it from theVCR to protect the tape.• When pressing the REC button on the front panel during DVD playback, the DVD will berecorded on the VCR tape. If your DVD title has been equipped with a Copy Protect technol-ogy, it can't be recorded on the VCR tape.• You can play a DVD by switching into the DVD mode during channel recording.• You can't play a DVD by switching into DVD mode during A/V recording.• Mode Switching doesn't operate during recording in DVD mode.2Press the SP/SLP buttonrepeatedly until the speedyou want (SLP or SP)appears.▼3Select the TV channel youwant by pressing the CHor CH button or byusing the number buttons.If you are using the numberbuttons to select the channel, press 0before a single-digit channel number.For example, to select channel 5,press 0, 5.Recording TV Programs As You WatchRecording▼1With your VCR turned on,and with a tape in the unit,press the SP/SLP button.The tape speed appears inthe the screen.For information on inserting avideo tape, see page 5.1.Be sure the record safety tab is inplace.
