Connecting up0426EnUsing this receiver with aPioneer plasma displayIf you have a Pioneer plasma display (modelsPRO-1110HD, PRO-910HD, PDP-5040HD,PDP-4340HD), you can use an SR+ cable(see note below) to connect it to this unit andtake advantage of various convenientfeatures, such as automatic video inputswitching of the plasma display when theinput is changed.• If you connect to a Pioneer plasma displayusing an SR+ cable, you will need to pointthe remote control at the plasma displayremote sensor to control the receiver. Inthis case, you won’t be able to to controlthe receiver using the remote control ifyou switch the plasma display off.• Use a 3-ringed miniplug SR+ cable toconnect the CONTROL IN jack of thisreceiver with the CONTROL OUT of yourplasma display.Before you can use the extra SR+ features,you need to make a few settings in thereceiver. See SR+ control for Pioneer plasmadisplays on page 48 for detailed instructions.To make the most of the SR+ features, youshould connect your source components(DVD player, etc.) in a slightly different way tothat described in this chapter. For eachcomponent, connect the video output directlyto the plasma display, and just connect theaudio (analog and/or digital) to this receiver.• The 3-ringed SR+ cable from Pioneer iscommercially available under the partnumber ADE7095.
