32Chapter 2Setting a Route to Your DestinationSelecting Destination from theDestination History and AddressBookAny place that has been searched before isstored in the “Destination History”. Places thatyou have registered manually, such as yourhome, are stored in the “Address Book”. The followingdescription features an example of changing thenumber of the route to be searched.1 Touch “Route Options” in the Main menu.The Route Options menu appears.2 Touch “Number of Routes”.The content currently set appears under thename of the item. Each time you touch theitem, the setting changes. Repeatedly touchthe item until the value you want to setappears.Items that users can changeThis section describes the details of the settingfor each menu. Settings marked with an asterisk(*) show that they are default or factory settings.Auto RerouteThis setting controls whether, when you strayfrom the guided route, the system automaticallyrecalculates the route to your destination.On* :Auto Reroute function is turned on.Off :Auto Reroute function is turned off.Avoid FreewayThis setting controls whether or not freeways maybe included in the road calculation. (A routeusing freeway may be calculated in some cases,such as when setting your destination far away.)On :Calculate a route that avoids freeways.Off* :Calculate a route that may include freeways.
