Introduction of DSPadjustments1You can use this unit to control multi-channelprocessor (DEQ-P7000), which is sold sepa-rately.By carrying out the following settings/adjust-ments in order, you can create a finely-tunedsound field effortlessly.1 Setting the speaker setting2 Using the position selector3 Adjusting the time alignment4 Adjusting the speaker output levels using atest tone5 Selecting a cut-off frequency6 Adjusting the speaker output levels7 Adjusting 3-band parametric equalizer1 DSP displayShows the DSP function names.% Touch A.MENU and then touch AUDIOto display the DSP function names.The DSP function names are displayed andoperable ones are highlighted.# When A.MENU is not displayed, you can dis-play it by touching the screen.# You can also display MENU by clicking thejoystick.# To go to the next group of function names,touch NEXT.# To return to the previous group of functionnames, touch PREV.# When selecting the FM tuner as the source,you cannot switch to SLA.# When playing other than the DVD disc, youcannot switch to D. R. C or DUAL MONO.# When neither FRONT-L nor FRONT-R is se-lected in POSITION, you cannot switch toTIME ALIGN.# When neither CUSTOM1 nor CUSTOM2 is se-lected as an equalizer curve, you cannot switchto PEQ.# To return to the previous display, touch BACK.# To return to the display of each source, touchESC.NoteIf you do not operate the DSP function withinabout 30 seconds, the display is automatically re-turned to the source display.Using the sound field controlThe SFC function creates the sensation of alive performance.! The acoustics of different performance en-vironments are not the same and dependon the extent and contour of space throughwhich sound waves move and on howsounds bounce off the stage, walls, floorsand ceilings. At a live performance youhear music in three stages: direct sound,early reflections, and late reflections, or re-verberations.
