22ConnectionCaution:• ONLY CONNECT WV-NP502 TO 12 V DC CLASS 2 POWER SUPPLY.Before starting the connection, turn off the power of this camera and the devices to be connected.Before start the connection, prepare the required devices and cables.z Connect the RCA jack to the monitor out-put connector for adjustment on the rear(only for adjustment of the angle field ofview).Important:• The monitor output connector is providedonly for checking the adjustment the anglefield of view on the video monitor wheninstalling the camera or when servicing. Itis not provided for recording/ monitoringuse.• When "3 mega pixel" is selected for"Imaging mode", black bands may appearat the top, bottom, right and left of thescreen. (There is no problem with adjust-ment since the angle field of view is notaffected.)• When the image capture mode is changed,the images displayed on the video monitormay sometimes be distorted until the cam-era is restarted.x Connect the microphone to MIC/LINE IN (for use of the audio reception function).Input impedance: Approx. 2 kΩRecommended cable length: 1 m or less (for microphone input)10 m or less (for LINE input)Recommended microphone: Plug-in power type microphone (option)Connect a monaural mini plug (ø3.5 mm).• Supply voltage: 2.5 V ±0.5 V• Recommended sensitivity of microphone: –48 dB ±3 dB (0 dB=1 V/Pa, 1 kHz)Important:• Connect/disconnect the audio cables and turn on the power of the camera after turning off thepower of the audio output devices.
