These buttons simplify certain operations. The illustrations below may differ from theactual buttons on your telephone.Fixed ButtonsCO: Used to access an outside (CO) line (oroutside (CO) line group) when making orreceiving a call. The button'spreprogrammed Outside (CO) LineAccess method determines which line isselected. Can also be customised as afeature button.SP-PHONE: Used to select handset or hands-freeoperation.AUTO DIAL/STORE: Used for System Speed Dialling/SavedNumber Redial, playing back personal/common BV outgoing messages (OGMs)used by the Built-in Voice Message (BV)feature, and storing programme changes.PAUSE: Used to insert a dialling pause in a storednumber.REDIAL: Used to redial the last number dialled.MESSAGE: Used to leave a message waitingindication, call back the party who left amessage waiting indication, or play backvoice messages. This button is providedwith an LED (Light Emitting Diode),except for on KX-T7700 seriestelephones. With KX-T7700 seriestelephones, the Message/Ringer Lamp islit when a message waiting indication isleft at your extension.INTERCOM: Used to make or receive intercom calls.MONITOR: Used to select hands-free dialling andmonitor operation.AUTO ANS (Auto Answer)/MUTE: Used to answer an intercom callautomatically in hands-free mode or tomute the built-in microphone during aconversation.TRANSFER: Used to transfer a call to another party.HOLD: Used to place a call on hold.FLASH/RECALL: Used to disconnect the current call andmake another call without hanging up, orto send an EFA (External FeatureAccess) signal to the telephone companyor host PBX to access external features.(CO)(CO)
