MB90 EN-37The check weighing bar indicates the sampleweight.7.8 Starting ModeIn this menu you can define if the instrument should perform certain functions automaticallyor manually.Press the Starting mode button.AutomaticThis mode can be used for most kinds ofsamples. When closing the sample chamber,the weight of the sample is recorded and themeasurement is started.It is the factory default setting.ManualWe advise you to use the manual operating mode for samples which contain readily volatilesubstances. In contrast to the automatic operating mode, in the manual operating mode thesample chamber does not automatically close when the Start/Stop button is tapped.However, the initial weight important for the determination of the moisture content isrecorded. In the manual operating mode you have time for further preparation of the samplewhile weight losses due to evaporation during the preparation time are measured from theoutset. As soon as the sample is ready for drying, close the sample chamber. As soon as theautomatic sample chamber is closed, drying starts. In the manual operating mode you canopen the sample chamber during a drying operation. In contrast to the automatic mode,drying will not be stopped but simply interrupted until the automatic sample chamber isclosed again.7.9 Default methodThe analyzer comes with a default methodpreinstalled.Follow the instruction message to start ameasurement directly.Press parameters area to edit.
