The navlog provides two main functions: It shows your progress alongyour trip, and lets you easily change the remainder of it. Thenav log contains (and displays in sequential order) the series ofwaypoints that you follow along your route. When you navi-gate to a waypoint or along a route from the unit’s memory,the series of waypoints is copied into the nav log, which acts asa kind of “scratch pad” for monitoring your progress. You canmodify nav log’s route in any way you want without affectingthe original route, which remains safely stored in the unit’smemory.Press the 1$9/2* key at any time to display the list of way-points you’re currently navigating along.Press the &856253$' to scan through the entire list to showany waypoint you want. The distance and bearing of each legis displayed. From this screen, you can easily read the direc-tion of the next leg of your trip. Information for safe and effi-cient planning of your trip is updated as you travel. For eachwaypoint, you can display either the waypoint’s description, orthe time of arrival at the waypoint; press the 1$0('(6& or1$0((7$ menu key to select one or the other. For waypointsyou haven’t yet passed, the time of arrival displayed is the esti-mated time of arrival (based on your current speed). For way-points you have passed, actual times of arrival are shown.
