If theproblems still cannot be remedied after going through the Troubleshooting section,check the FAQs at http://www.ndc.com.tw/support/tech/iw_faq.htmIf you still have a problem, contact NDC technical support for assistance (seeTechnical Support, page 47).Before going through the following troubleshooting information, run the AP SelfDiagnostic Test to ensure the major AP components are working.If your problems still cannot be remedied after going through this Troubleshootingsection, contact NDC technical support for assistance (see Technical Support, page47).Symptom Suggested SolutionsThe Power LED on theAP is OFF.1. Make sure the power adapter is firmly connected tothe power outlet and the AP power connector.The InstantWave HRAPMS utility cannotdetect an InstantWaveHR AP on the samenetwork.1. Make sure the AP is powered on and connected toan Ethernet work.Check the IP addresses assigned to the AP and APMSterminal PC. They should be in the same subnet andunique. For example, if the AP’s IP address is192.168.1.5 with a mask of 255.255.255.0, then thePC’s IP address should be 192.168.1.x with a mask of255.255.255.0. Consult your network administratorfor exact settings.The AP powers up, butthe Ethernet Link LED isOFF (no connection toan Ethernet network).Make sure:1. The Ethernet cable is connected firmly to both theAP and Hub/Switch.3. The Hub/Switch is powered on.4. Your Hub/Switch port may be set to the “Uplink”position. Set it to the normal position.The Status LED on theAP panel is Red andflashing.Restart (power cycle) the AP and check the StatusLED again. If it is still flashing, you need to return theAP to the reseller for repair.
