Chapter 2.0 Understanding Your Keypad2.0 Understanding Your KeypadThe PowerSeries Neo Alarm System supports a variety of wireless, hardwired and proximitysensor LCD, LED and Icon keypads. All keypads come equipped with the LED status lightsdescribed in section 1 "Quick Reference". HS2LCD series keypads display system messages ontheir LCD screen. HS2ICN series keypads display messages, as described in the following section.HS2LED series keypads display messages via a series of numbered LEDs, as described in the fol-lowing section. All keypad versions will have a solid blue LED bar that is always on steady exceptwhen, if enrolled, a proximity tag is presented to and successfully read by the keypad.2.1 Icon and LED Keypad SymbolsHS2ICN Series HS2LED Series5 9 612 7 101118152 3 41716141359761. Clock Digits 1, 2 These two 7 segment clock digits indicate the hour digits when thelocal clock is active. Digit 2 is also used to identify the zone num-ber as the 1 when the zone number is 100 or higher and the OPENor ALARM icons are active.2. : (Colon) This icon is the hours/minutes divider and will flash once persecond when the local clock is active.3. Clock Digits 3, 4 These two 7 segment displays are the minute digits when the localclock is active. The digits 3 and 4 are used to indicate the zonenumber for open zones or alarm in memory. These two digits com-bined with the clock digit 2, scroll one zone per second from thelowest number to the highest, when scrolling through zones.4. 1 to 8 These numbers identify troubles when [*][2] is pressed.5. Memory Indicates that there are alarms in memory.6. Bypass Indicates that there are zones bypassed.7. Program Indicates that the system is in Installer or User's programming, orthat the keypad is busy, and the LED will flash in cadence of250ms ON and 250ms OFF. If Access Code is required, whileaccessing star menus, this LED is ON and solid to indicate that thecode is required.8. Away Indicates that the panel is armed in the Away Mode.9. Fire Indicates that there are fire and/or CO alarms in memory.10. Stay Indicates that the panel is armed in the Stay Mode.- 5 -
