A VRRD instruction converts the analog value of the potentiometer into anumeric value in the range from 0 to 255. A VRSC instruction converts the analog value of the potentiometer into anumeric value in the range from 0 to 10.For more information about the VRRD (FNC 85) and VRSC (FNC 86) instruction,refer to the FX 3G /FX3GC /FX3S /FX3U /FX3UC Series Programming Manual.InstallationApplicable PLCAn expansion board of the MELSEC FX 3G series can be combined with a PLC ofthe MELSEC FX3G , FX 3GE or FX 3S series.Only one FX 3G -8AV-BD can be used per base unit.Connection to the PLCShown below is the connection to a FX 3G base unit. The assembly to a FX 3GE orFX 3S base unit is analogously carried out. Turn off the power. Make sure the expansion board is in parallel with the base unit and fix it tothe connector of the base unit. Fix the expansion board to the base unit using the 3 mm tapping screwsprovided with the board . The tightening torque is 0.3 to 0.6 Nm.MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC Remove the cover (right fig. "A") asshown in the right figure.A FX 3G -8AV-BD cannot attachedin place of the left top cover (rightf i g . " B " ) o f t h e b a s e u n i t sFX 3G -40M/ and FX 3G -60M/. Attach the provided side cover(right fig. "C").ABCE CAUTION Use the product in the environment within the general specificationsdescribed in the Hardware manual. Never use the product in areaswith dust, oily smoke, conductive dusts, corrosive or flammable gas,vibrations or impacts, or expose it to high temperature, condensa-tion, or wind and rain.If the product is used in such a place described above, electrical shock,fire, malfunction, damage, or deterioration may be caused . When drilling screw holes or wiring, cutting chips or wire chips shouldnot enter ventilation slits. Such an accident may cause fire, failure ormalfunction. Do not touch the conductive parts of the product directly. Fix the expansion board securely to the specified connector.
