5Switch actionTo turn on the vest, push and hold the power button(about 1.5 seconds). To turn off, push and hold the powerbutton again.Temperature adjustmentThere are three temperature settings (high, medium, low).Three LED lights means that the temperature is set to“high”, two LED lights “medium”, and one LED light “low”.When you switch on the vest, the temperature is set to“high”. Each press of the power button cycles through thevest’s temperature setting.CAUTION:• Hold the battery holder and the battery cartridgefirmly when installing or removing batterycartridge. Failure to hold the battery holder and thebattery cartridge firmly may cause them to slip off yourhands and result in damage to the battery holder andbattery cartridge and a personal injury.Installing or removing battery cartridge tothe battery holder (Fig. 2)for CV100DTo install the battery cartridge (5), hold it so that thebattery cartridge front shape fits to that of the batteryholder opening and slip it into place. Insert it all the wayuntil it locks in place with a little click.Always insert the battery cartridge all the way until it locksin place. If not, it may accidentally fall out of the batteryholder, causing injury to you or someone around you.Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If the cartridgedoes not slide in easily, it is not being inserted correctly.To remove the battery cartridge, withdraw it from thebattery holder while pressing the buttons (6) on both sidesof the cartridge.for DCV200To install the battery cartridge (7), align the tongue on thebattery cartridge with the groove in the battery holder andslip it into place. Insert it all the way until it locks in placewith a little click. If you can see the red indicator (8) on theupper side of the button, it is not locked completely.Always install the battery cartridge fully until the redindicator cannot be seen. If not, it may accidentally fall outof the battery holder, causing injury to you or someonearound you.Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If the cartridgedoes not slide in easily, it is not being inserted correctly.To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the batteryholder while sliding the button (9) on the front of thecartridge.Indicating the remaining battery capacity(Only for battery cartridges with “B” at the end of themodel number.) (Fig. 3)Press the check button (11) on the battery cartridge toindicate the remaining battery capacity. The indicatorlamps (10) light up for few seconds.015658NOTE:• Depending on the conditions of use and the ambienttemperature, the indication may differ slightly from theactual capacity.Use of non-genuine Makita batteries, or batteries thathave been altered, will void the Makita warranty for theMakita tool and charger.Attaching the battery holder to the heatedvestfor CV100D (Fig. 3)Connect the battery holder and the power cable of thevest. Place the battery holder in the battery holder pocket.for DCV200 (Fig. 4)You can hang the battery holder on the belt.Firstly pass the vest’s power cable through the hole insidethe battery holder pocket, and connect the battery holderand the power cable of the vest. And then hang thebattery holder on your belt.Connecting USB device (For DCV200only) (Fig. 5)CAUTION:• Connect only devices which are compatible with DC5V,2.1A power source to the USB power supply port.Otherwise it may cause malfunction to the batteryholder.The battery holder (with the battery) can work as anexternal power supply for USB device. Connect the USBcable (not included) with the power supply port of thebattery holder. And then connect the other end of thecable with the device.
