1 Introduction22 Keysight U1731C/U1732C/U1733C User’s GuideTo power OFF your LCR meter, press the power-on button again.Automatic Power-Off (APO)Your LCR meter automatically turns off after 5 minutes (default) if no keys arepressed. Pressing any key will turn the LCR meter back on after it is powered offautomatically.The annunciator is shown on the bottom left of the display when the APOfunction is enabled.Enabling the backlightIf viewing the display becomes difficult in low-light conditions, press for morethan 1 second to activate the LCD backlight.To conserve battery life, a user-adjustable time-out controls how long thebacklight stays on. The default time-out is 30 seconds.NOTE You can change the power-on behavior of your LCR meter for subsequent powercycles. See “Changing the initial power-on behavior” on page 70 for moreinformation on changing the LCR meter’s power-on setting.NOTE – To change the time-out period or completely disable the APO function, referto “Changing the auto power-off and backlight time-outs” on page 87.– If an external power adapter is used, the APO function will be disabled.Tol%NOTE – To change the time-out period or completely disable the backlight, refer to“Changing the auto power-off and backlight time-outs” on page 87.– If an external power adapter is used, the backlight time-out will be disabled.
