EN 67REMOTE CONTROLRemote Control 1/2/3/4 Code SwitchingThe remote control is capable of controlling four JVC video unitsindependently. Each of the units can respond to one of the fourcodes (1, 2, 3 or 4). The remote control is preset to send code 3signals because your unit is initially set to respond to code 3signals. You can easily modify your unit to respond to code 1, 2 or4 signals.● Keep pressing SET UP down during step 1.1 Press the number key A1B for 1, A2B for 2, A3B for 3 or A4B for 4 tochange the remote control code, then press ENTER.2 Press A on the unit to turn off the unit.3 Press I on the unit for over 5 seconds while the unit is turnedoff. The current code appears on the front display panel.4 Press o on the remote control to change the unit’s code. Thenew code blinks on the front display panel for approximately 5seconds, and is applied to the unit.NOTE:When APOWER SAVEB is set to AONB (A pg. 73), it is not possibleto change the remote code.TV Multi-Brand Remote ControlYour remote control can operate the basic functions of your TV set.In addition to JVC TVs, other manufacturer’s TVs can also becontrolled.IMPORTANT:Although the provided remote control unit is compatible with JVCtelevisions, as well as many other models, it may not work withyour TV, or in some instances, may have limited function capability.● Keep pressing SET UP down during step 1.1 Enter your TV’s brand code using the number keys, then pressENTER.2 Press A on the unit’s remote control to turn on the TV and tryoperations (A step 3).● Once you have set the remote control to operate the TV, you donot have to repeat this step until you replace your remotecontrol’s batteries.● Some brands of TVs have more than one code.
