4Access ControlAccess Control CardAn access control card is a prox tag that can bepresented to a proximity reader to:• Allow access to access controlled doors• Cancel alarms, faults or tampers• To set or unset the system.To assign a user an access control card:1. Access the menu option 42.1=UserCodes.2. Press the A > key to scroll to the correctuser number and then press ent.3. Press A > until 07=Card No is displayedon the keypad’s LCD, then press ent.4. Key in the access control card’s serialnumber, the * (star key) can be used toerase the last digit keyed in.5. Press ent to store the serial number.6. Press esc to return to the banner.Access Control Card – Batch LearnThe batch learn function allows one or more accesscontrol cards to be assigned to users. This isachieved using a specific proximity reader which isassigned when the system is installed.To enter and use the batch learn function:1. Access the menu option 42.3.4=BatchStart.2. Key in the first user number to beassigned an access control card.3. Press ent.4. Access the menu option 42.3.1=AddBatch.5. At the proximity reader present the firstaccess control card to be assigned.6. That access control card will be assignedto the displayed user and then thekeypad’s LCD will move on to the nextuser.7. Repeat steps 5 thru 6 to assign multipleaccess control cards.8. Press esc to finish and return to thebanner.TemplatesTo enable access through building doors the usermust be allocated an access template. An accesstemplate is made up of groups and time schedules.These are used to determine where and when a usercan gain access to a certain building or area.The access templates are created when the system isinstalled.
