CD PLAYBACK 29CD PlaybackRepeat PlayWith CDs the DVD 20 offers three repeat func-tions that allow you to take advantage of thecapacity of the unit for unattended playback: Repeat Disc: Plays the complete disc repeat-edly from start to finish until the disc is manu-ally stopped. When that mode is selected,REPEAT ALL will appear in the front panel dis-play. Repeat Track: Repeats the CD track current-ly being played until the disc is manuallystopped. When that mode is selected, REPEAT1 will light up in the front panel display abovethe TRACK indicator. Repeat A-B: Repeats any selected portion ofthe disc until the disc is manually stopped.To select any repeat mode, follow this way:1. While a disc is playing, press REPEAT on theremote, the Repeat Display appears.2. Access the Repeat modes and their appropri-ate menus in the following order by pressingREPEAT on the remote repeatedly until thedesired function is displayed.Repeat Disc ➜ Repeat Title ➜ RepeatChapter ➜ Repeat Off.3. To make the menu disappear from the screen,press the CLEAR or STATUS on the remote orwait some seconds. To cancel any Repeat Play function and tocontinue with normal play, press the RepeatButton until the Repeat Off menu appears inthe on-screen display or the REPEAT Indicatorin the Front Information Display goes out. Repeat Play may be stopped and canceled bypressing the Stop Button twice. If Repeat Disc is selected with Program play,the complete program will be repeated ratherthan the disc. Note that Repeat Track mode isnot available with Program play.A-B Repeat PlayThe Repeat A-B function allows you to select anyportion of a CD and have it repeat continuallyunit the unit is manually stopped.To initiate a Repeat A-B playback sequence, fol-low these steps while a disc is playing:1. While a disc is playing, press A-B on theremote when you want to choose a scene asthe beginning point, the Repeat A- Displayappears and REPEAT A - is indicated in thefront panel display. To escape from the RepeatA mode press the REPEAT button.2. Press A-B again to choose a scene as the endpoint, REPEAT A - B will appear on the screenand the front panel display. Repeat A-B is setand the A-B section will be played continu-ously.3. Press A-B on the remote until the REPEAT A-Bindicators delete to cancel repeat A-B modeand to play on in normal mode.4. To make the menu disappear from the screen,press the CLEAR or STATUS on the remote orwait a few seconds.Note: The A-B Repeat range may cover severaltracks on the CD.Random PlayThe Random Play function will play all of thetracks on a CD in a random order as selected bythe DVD 20. Once the disc has played all of thetracks, it will stop.1. While a disc is playing, press RANDOM on theremote, the Random Display appears and theRANDOM indicator will light in the frontpanel display.2. If you want to cancel Random and continuewith normal play while a disc is RANDOMplaying, press RANDOM on the remote again,Standard Play Display appears and the RAN-DOM indicator in the front display will delete.3. To make the Banner Display disappear fromthe screen, press the CLEAR or STATUS on theremote or wait a few seconds.Note: RANDOM can also be started when theDVD 20 is in Stop or Resume mode by pressingRANDOM. Note that Random cannot be can-celed during Resume mode by pressing RAN-DOM again, this should be done during play.
