6 nüvi 310/360/370 Owner’s ManualappendIxCaring for Your nüviYour nüvi contains sensitive electronic components that can be permanently damagedif exposed to excessive shock or vibration. To minimize the risk of damage to yournüvi, avoid dropping your nüvi and operating it in high shock/vibration environments.Cleaning the nüviThe nüvi is constructed of high quality materials and does not require usermaintenance other than cleaning. Clean the nüvi’s outer casing (not the touch screen)using a cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution and then wipe dry. Avoidchemical cleaners and solvents that can damage plastic components.Cleaning the Touch ScreenClean the touch screen with a soft, clean, lint-free cloth. Use water, isopropyl alcohol,or eyeglass cleaner, if needed. Apply the liquid to the cloth and then gently wipe thetouch screen.Protecting Your nüvi● Do not store the nüvi where prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures canoccur (such as in the windshield), as permanent damage may result.● Do not expose the nüvi to water. Contact with water can cause the nüvi tomalfunction.● Though a PDA stylus can also be used to operate the touch screen, neverattempt this while operating a vehicle. Never use a hard or sharp object tooperate the touch screen, because it can damage the screen.● Keep the nüvi in the leather carrying case when not in use.
