Mounting on the WindshieldCheck your state and local traffic laws before mounting. Currently, statelaws in California and Minnesota prohibit drivers from using suctionmounts on their windshields while operating motor vehicles. OtherGarmin dashboard or friction mounting options should be used. See theImportant Safety and Product Information guide for more details.1. Plug the power cable into the back of themount. Plug the other end into a 12/24-Voltreceptacle in your vehicle.2. Clean and dry your windshield and thesuction cup with a lint-free cloth. Place thesuction cup on the windshield.3. Flip the lever back, toward the windshield.4. Flip up the GPS antenna. Fit the bottom of your nüvi intothe cradle.5. Tilt the nüvi back until it snaps into place.➍➎Microphonejack➌➋WindshieldTo remove the nüvi from the cradle, press the small tab on thebottom of the cradle up, and tilt the top of the nüvi forward.This guide provides short instructions for various nüvioperations. Go outdoors to an open area,away from tall buildings andtrees.2. Flip up the GPS antenna onthe back of the nüvi, so that it isparallel to the ground.3. Turn on the nüvi. Acquiringsatellite signals can take a fewminutes.The bars indicate satellite strength.
