Viewing the Trip Information PageThe trip information page displays your speed and providesstatistics about your trip.From the map, select Speed.Viewing the Trip LogYour device keeps a trip log, which is a record of the path youhave traveled.1 Select > Navigation > Map & Vehicle > Map Layers.2 Select the Trip Log check box.Resetting Trip Information1 From the map, select Speed.2 Select > Reset Field(s).3 Select an option:• When not navigating a route, select Select All to resetevery data field except the speedometer, on the first page.• Select Reset Trip Data to reset the information on the tripcomputer.• Select Reset Max. Speed to reset the maximum speed.• Select Reset Trip B to reset the odometer.Viewing Upcoming TrafficBefore you can use this feature, your device must be receivingtraffic data (Traffic, page 21).You can view traffic incidents coming up along your route oralong the road on which you are traveling.1 While navigating a route, select > Traffic.The nearest upcoming traffic incident appears in a panel onthe right side of the map.2 Select the traffic incident to view additional details.Viewing Traffic on the MapThe traffic map shows color-coded traffic flow and delays onnearby roads.1 From the main menu, select > Traffic.2 If necessary, select > Legend to view the legend for thetraffic map.Searching for Traffic Incidents1 From the main menu, select > Traffic.2 Select > Incidents.3 Select an item in the list.4 If there is more than one incident, use the arrows to viewadditional incidents.Customizing the MapCustomizing the Map LayersYou can customize which data appear on the map, such asicons for points of interest and road conditions.1 Select > Navigation > Map & Vehicle > Map Layers.2 Select the check box next to each layer you want to show onthe map.Changing the Map Data Field1 From the map, select a data field.NOTE: You cannot customize Speed.2 Select a type of data to display.Changing the Map Perspective1 Select > Navigation > Map & Vehicle > Driving MapView.2 Select an option:• Select Track Up to display the map in two dimensions (2-D), with your direction of travel at the top.• Select North Up to display the map in 2-D with north atthe top.• Select 3-D to display the map in three dimensions.Live Services, Traffic, andSmartphone FeaturesThe Smartphone Link app allows your device to receive smartnotifications and live information, such as live traffic data andweather information.Live traffic data: Sends real-time traffic data to your device,such as traffic incidents and delays, construction zones, androad closings (Traffic, page 21).Weather information: Sends real-time weather forecasts, roadconditions, and weather radar to your device (Viewing theWeather Forecast, page 23).LiveTrack: Allows you to share your trip with selected contactsin real time (LiveTrack, page 22).Smart Notifications: Displays phone notifications andmessages on your device. This feature is not available for alllanguages.Hands-Free calling: Allows you to place and receive phonecalls using your device, and allows you to use the device as ahands-free speaker phone.Send locations to device: Allows you to send locations fromyour smartphone to your navigation device.Pairing Your Phone for Live Services andHands-Free CallingBefore you can use hands-free calling, you must pair yourdevice with a compatible mobile phone.NOTE: This connection enables live services, traffic, and hands-free calling features, but it does not enable Bluetooth mediafeatures. To use your phone as a Bluetooth media source, youmust pair it separately in the Fusion Media app (Connecting aCompatible Bluetooth Device, page 15).1 From the app store on your phone, install the SmartphoneLink app.2 Place your phone and your RV-IN1501 device within 3 m (10ft.) of each other.3 On your phone, enable Bluetooth wireless technology, andset your phone to be visible or discoverable to other devices.For more information, see the owner's manual for yourphone.4 On your RV-IN1501 device, select > Bluetooth.5 Select the toggle switch to turn on Bluetooth technology.A list of nearby Bluetooth devices appears.6 Select your phone from the list.7 If necessary, verify the code displayed on your phonematches the code displayed on your RV-IN1501 device.8 Select Pair.NOTE: To view contacts and call logs on your RV-IN1501device, you may need to go to the Bluetooth settings on yourphone and enable the contact sharing permission for the pairedRV-IN1501 device.
