CHAPTER 8AutoStoreTMWaypoint NameLatitude LongitudeRoute Store NumberAutoStore TM PAGEThe AutoStoreTM function allows you to capture your position at the touch ofa button so that you may easily return later. Additionally, you may record yournavigation path by inserting the captured waypoints into a route.The AutoStore TM Page displays the AutoStore TM waypoint name, capturedposition, and optional storage route. The waypoint name begins with a “+”character followed by a 3 digit number, for example “+010”. AutoStore TMwaypoints may be used for any waypoint operation and will be stored as partof the 100 available user waypoints.To capture your present position...· Press the AUTOSTO key. The AutoStore TM Page will be displayedwith the default waypoint name on line 1.· If you wish to give the waypoint a name of your own, move the cursorover the waypoint name and enter the name of your choice. If youenter a waypoint name that is already used, you will be informed withthe message “WPT EXISTS _____” (where the blank will be filled inwith the waypoint name). Enter a different waypoint name if thisoccurs.· If you wish to place the waypoint in a route, enter the desired routenumber. This route will be used for subsequent AutoStoreTM operationsuntil it is changed or the route becomes full. If you attempt to placethe waypoint in a route that already contains nine waypoints, you willbe informed with the message “ROUTE IS FULL”. Select a differentroute if this occurs.8-1
