34 GPSMAP 176/176C Owner’s ManualBASIC OPERATION > C REATING A ROUTEThe Route Review page allows you to enter a 15-character name forany listed route. The GPSMAP 176/176C creates a default route nameusing the first and last waypoint names.To enter a custom route name:1. From the Route Review page, highlight the name field andpress ENTER to begin editing.2. Use the ROCKER to enter the desired name and pressENTER when finished.Once you are on the Route Review page, you may review the routepoints (waypoints or map items) one at a time from the list.To review individual route points:1. Highlight the desired point and press ENTER.2. On the Point Review window, you may choose Next tohighlight the next point on the route list, Show Map to showthe point on a map window, or Delete to permanently deletethe waypoint from the unit. Press ENTER to select an option.If the route point is a user waypoint, you may edit any of thewaypoint properties on the Waypoint Review page.See page 17 for information on the Waypoint Review page.Once you are back on the Route Point list, the next point in the routeis automatically highlighted. This allows you to review each point onthe route by pressing ENTER repeatedly.
