Safety Instructions Operating InstructionsSafety Instructions Operating Instructions Care and Cleaning Troubleshooting Tips Consumer Support35The oven door must be closed and all controls must be set correctly for the cycle to work properly.Before a Clean CycleWe recommend venting your kitchenwith an open window or using aventilation fan or hood duringthe first self-clean cycle.Remove broiler pan, broiler grid, allcookware and any aluminum foil fromthe oven.The shiny, silver-colored oven racks(on some models) can be self-cleaned,but they will darken, lose their lusterand become hard to slide.Do not use abrasives or oven cleaners.Clean the top, sides and outside of theoven door with soap and water.Make sure the oven light bulb coveris in place and the oven light is off.NOTE: See theCleaning the Oven Doorsection in theCare and Cleaning section forinstructions on how to clean the innerdoor outside the gasket. This area is notcleaned during the self-clean cycle.IMPORTANT: The health of some birdsis extremely sensitive to the fumes givenoff during the self-cleaning cycle ofany oven. Move birds to anotherwell-ventilated room.Wipe up heavy soil on the ovenbottom. (appearance may vary)How to Set the Oven for CleaningSelectFEATURES.SelectSELF CLEAN.Select the desired self clean.A 3-hour self-clean time isrecommended when cleaning small,contained spills. A self-clean time of4 hours or longer is recommendedfor a dirtier oven.LO (3 hrs) will self clean the ovenfor 3 hours.STD (4 hrs) will self clean the ovenfor 4 hours.ADJUST TIME allows oven to be setfor any time between 3 and 5 hours.Input the clean time (to nearest 5minutes) using the number padsand selectENTER.SelectSTART.The door locks automatically. willflash until door is locked. The display willshow the clean time remaining.It will not be possible to open theoven door until the temperature dropsbelow the lock temperature and the(LOCK) light goes off.When the(LOCK) light goes off, youwill be able to open the door.■ To stop a clean cycle, press theCLEAR/OFF pad.
