14Installation InstructionsElectrical ConnectionsATTENTION INSTALLERAll electric wall ovens must be hard wired(direct wired) into an approved junctionbox. A plug and receptacle is NOT permittedon these products.DO NOT shorten the flexible conduit. The conduit strain relief clamp must besecurely attached to the junction boxand the flexible conduit must be securelyattached to the clamp. If the flexibleconduit will not fit within the clamp, do notinstall the oven until a clamp of the propersize is obtained.NOTE TO ELECTRICIAN: The 3 powerleads supplied with this appliance areUL recognized for connection to heaviergauge household wiring. The insulationof these 3 leads is rated at temperaturesmuch higher than the temperature ratingof household wiring. The current carryingcapacity of the conductor is governedby the wire gauge and the temperaturerating of the insulation around the wire.Turn off the circuit breaker or removefuses to the oven branch circuit. With the oven supported on a table orplatform in front of the cabinet opening, connect the flexible conduit to theelectrical junction box as shown below.Position the conduit in such a mannerthat it will lie on top of the oven ina natural loop when the oven isinstalled. You will need to purchasean appropriate strain relief clamp tocomplete the connection of the conduitto the junction box.WARNING: Improperconnection of aluminum housewiring to copper leads canresult in an electrical hazard or fire.Use only connectors designed forjoining copper to aluminum and followthe manufacturer’s recommendedprocedure closely.B2B1BJunction BoxLocationStrain Relief Clamp(not included)must be used atJunction BoxBAREGROUNDWHITEREDBLACKConduitGROUNDWIREPlace oven on asupport to assist inconnecting conduit
